Following its establishment by President Goodluck Jonathan, The pioneer Vice Chancellor, Federal University Dutsin-ma came under harsh criticism from the public over his religious and ethnic sentiment.
During his last days in office, he was alleged with allegations of corruption charges labeled against him and him not-conforming with the designed quota system during admitting students and University staff recruitment exercise that took place during his tenure.

“Reports reaching us from Katsina state indicate that, The Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Dutsin-ma, Katsina has ordered stop action on the construction of the Chapel of Reconciliation, calling it an illegal structure.
While the school’s Christian community were taken aback since the building and location of the only Christian building in the school was contained in the School’s master plan, the dare devil DVC administration yesterday threatened demolition of the Chapel as illegal structure . (more…)
