Last week, pictures of Katsina State governor Aminu Bello Masari went viral on social media. It was the occasion of his visit to Kayalwa Primary school and Government Day Secondary school Kofar Yandaka, all the two schools located within Katsina metropolis. The governor, though ostensibly for that purpose, seized the opportunity to directly interact with  teachers and students and see for himself the situation under which the teachers teach and the students learn. He made grand discoveries in the course. Some of the discoveries he seemed to have made were overcrowded classrooms, poor quality of teachers, fallen standard of teaching facilities, dilapidated infrastructure and so on and so forth.

REALITY NOT PROPAGANDA

Education is essential for a society to grow to its full potential. I have been following the dilemma happening in our education sector in Katsina State. My curiosities to delve further begin to raise some thought provoking questions regard the present Administration of RT. Hon Aminu Bello Masari Sincerity in solving the problems in education sector at a time when the proposed budget of Katsina State will soon become a law.

If I could remember vividly during his campaign, a committee of elites professional was formed to investigate and form a comprehensive report on the challenges, possible solutions to the problems in the education sector, but just of recent during his sudden unexpected visit to government schools across the state, Governor Aminu Bello Masari was shocked to see students sitting on the floor, classes overcrowded, Majority of students were absent. Masari was reported to have been displeased with the scary state/situation he met at the schools he visited.

The big question in Katsina education sector wouldn’t have been anything worse than the unwanted situation Masari encountered, which without no doubt further exposed the lack of credibility and sincerity of the final report submitted to Governor Masari by the same committee which HE the governor formed. So could it be the committee assigned with the responsibility to form a comprehensive report couldn’t find it worthy to include the above mentioned problems? OR the Governor couldn’t find the report worthy to spend time to go over it?

Governor Masari Begins Disbursement 2billion Naira To Cooperative Groups

After intense Pressure from the people towards Governor Aminu Bello Masari Style Of Leadership, The Governor finally begin to disburse the 2Billion Naira Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN) micro, small and medium development funds loan to cooperative groups in the state.
The procedure and channel by which such funds can be accessed by the people still remain unclear which further raises doubt over how the respective beneficiaries were selected.

Time waits For No One

The political situation in Nigeria has come to a critical point where it is imperative for the leaders of all arms of government to unify themselves and put aside their differences for the interest of the nation and the masses they govern as leaders of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The President has proven himself as person that is up to the task despite the impediments that come with old age and health issues. He has been able to restore stability by minimizing the security threats that has been devastating the country, especially in the north eastern part of the country and brought it to a minimum with the aid of his armed forces that have shown tremendous courage in fighting the insurgency that almost brought Nigeria to the brink of extinction and becoming a failed state. He has managed to create bilateral agreement with the international community that will enhance diplomatic relations with the so called developed countries in order to affiliate, interact and work together for Nigeria to be able to compete with new trend and systems of governments across the globe. The President has also been able to recover funds that have been looted from the country’s treasury by the corrupt officials of the past regime that contributed to the genocide that lead to the displacement of over 1.5 million citizens in Nigeria which has doubled the Rwandan genocide in the mid 90’s and decline of our nation’s social, economic, security and infrastructural facilities that were once the pride of not only the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but Africa as a whole. The new government being led by President Muhammadu Buhari is also doing his best to implement monetary policies which most Nigerians are eagerly waiting to see the results of the policy that has been put in place to achieve this particular endeavour to restore the value of the Naira.

If we could remember Governor Masari promised to empower micro and macro business with 2billion Naira grant from the Central bank of Nigeria which is taking longer than expected of him. The people of Katsina State have no choice but to doubt the sincerity of such meetings that gives birth to false hope.

Chairman of ruling All Progressive Change (APC) in Katsina state, Shitu A. Shitu has assured members of level playing ground during the much talk about local government elections in the state.

Although the state independent electoral commission has not made pronouncements concerning conduct of the polls, scores of APC members at the grassroots have commenced tacit moves towards the election.

In most of the local governments, posters and hand bills of prospective aspirants for both Councilors and Chairmanship positions litters everywhere especially public places.

The facebook page which is “Katsina State Governor” and Twitter account “@GovernorMasari”.  The online Facebook community is advised to like the pages to keep up with day to day activities of the Governor. But over a while ago, both the Facebook community & twitter community has strongly lost faith in how Masari’s social media team operate by not doing as expected in terms of engaging the community by providing them with the right contents to their long awaited questions. Also the social media team to Governor Masari only inform the community on irrelevant courtesy call visits ONLY, which has created a lot of doubt in the minds of the people whether the governors priority is to serve the people or to go on a rampage courtesy call visit that they have failed to communicate the essence, the value those visits will add to a state that is far left behind in education, water supply, over crowded Almajiri children on the streets, and so many laying out there.

GOV MASARI WILL SANITIZE THE LGAs SYSTEM

After report presentation of Seven Committees that were inaugurated in the last two month to verified the Local Government liabilities with term reference of physical inspection of all project executed and unpaid, physical inspection of all supplies made as in local purchase order, inspection of books of accounts, Bank statement examination and in complicated cases interviewing contractors as well as schedule officers.

During presentation of the committees report by the Chairman of the Committee assigned to Dutsimma Zone, Alh Tanimu Garba on behalf of the rest committees, said that there is total number of 7047 liability claim vouchers with financial implication of N4,322,328,610.78 received from all the 34 LGs. Out of the mentioned figure the sum of N2,731,958,823.92 is found to be payable.
